We are seeking exceptional individuals who want to teach kids to code and create amazing things.
We hire people, not resumes, so we don't have rigid requirements. Teaching experience is nice but not required. Being a teacher means you have the patience, heart, and commitment to see your students thrive. What matters to us is a passion for learning, and an ability to help students develop that passion.
DO I NEED CODING/ANIMATION EXPERIENCE?
Teaching experience or a desire to teach is much more important to us than coding experience. Why? Because teaching is much harder than coding. We will teach you to code, just like we teach our students. We provide paid training to improve your coding and classroom management skills. However, having an existing interest in coding and making your own projects means that you’ll provide a more authentic experience to our students, and that’s something we care about.
This is a part-time job. You decide how many days a week you want to work. We have classes running Monday through Friday, most run for a couple hours between 1pm and 6pm. During school breaks and summer time, we offer day camps which have extended hours. Again, it’s up to you when you work.
We are looking for assistant teachers who are able to teach in the Greater Seattle Area. Most classes are in the city of Seattle, but we are growing in Bellevue, Redmond, Issaquah, Shoreline, Burien, and more. We do our best to schedule you for classes close to home to make for an easy commute.
BECOME A LEAD
Want to step up and lead a class? As our number of classes expand, so do the opportunities for assistants who have demonstrated skill and commitment in the classroom. New lead teachers are regularly chosen from our current assistants and given additional training and pay in return for taking greater responsibility in the class.
An extensive background check and references are required. The schools where we teach may require their own separate background checks or training as well. Student safety is of the utmost importance to us.
BE A PART OF THE TEAM
The Creative Coding team is passionate, vibrant, and hardworking. We love to see our teachers grow professionally, and grow with our company. We encourage you to use your talents to enhance your role in the classroom and in the company as whole. Having good people at the heart of our company is what keeps us going and growing.
