Your child will love our coding clubs!
Here's why.
We create a fun, safe, and supportive environment for your child in our coding clubs. They will enjoy positive feedback and peer recognition for the games they’ve made, which is the best motivation for learning to code. In a time of social distancing, parents tell us that the social interaction that their kids are getting in our clubs is even more important than the coding skills they’re learning (and those are great). That’s why they keep coming back to learn and to grow, some of them for years.
Your child will be grouped with other kids of similar age and coding experience by our parent support team, after you sign up. We serve ages 7-13, and for a limited time are running an advanced java class for those interested in the next step after Scratch! To give your child the individual attention they need, club size is limited to 6. Sign up for once or twice a week, depending on your preference. Club sessions last 60 minutes and are paid for weekly at the rate of $40 per session. Cancel anytime and receive a full refund of any upcoming sessions. One-on-one tutoring is also available. Choose the days of the week and times that work for you.

- Fun! The most important thing is to make sure the kids are having fun, and fully engaged with their own creative project. We celebrate successes and mistakes. It’s all a part of their coding adventure. If they’re having fun as they create, we literally cannot stop them from learning!
- Creativity. Every session confronts your child with the question “What do you want to make?” Then we help them do it! Nothing is more exciting than your child’s own ideas. Every session is a non-sequential learning experience driven by their own project.
- Teaching Kids to Teach Themselves. Our teachers engage with students over video chat, and are trained to see non-verbal signs of frustration. They aren’t there to give answers, but to lead your child through the process of finding answers. By jumping in at the right time with effective questions, your child will discover and create their own solutions for bugs or new features. We are teaching them to teach themselves.
- Persistence. Coding is hard. Your child will fail a million times before they succeed – but it feels incredible when they face adversity and emerge victorious with a solution they discovered on their own! Our teachers give students guidance during this emotional cycle and help them navigate barriers. After participating in our club, your kids will get excited about facing a tough problem because they’ve developed a taste for success. They’ll think, “Wow this is really hard… and it’ll feel GREAT when I succeed!”
